Bloody Good Wings

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  •  1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground Coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  •  1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Allspice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  •  2 tbsp honey
  •  2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red food coloring (to look like "blood")

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, ground coriander, turmeric, ginger, allspice, garlic powder, honey, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss the chicken wings in the spice mixture until fully coated. Add a few drops of red food coloring to give them a "bloody" appearance.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the wings on a lined baking sheet and bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through until crispy and cooked through.
  3. In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle black sesame seeds over the wings to create a spooky dark effect. Return to the oven to let the sesame seeds stick.
  4. In a food processor, blend avocado, sour cream, lime juice, cumin, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth. Add a few drops of red food coloring to create a "bloody" red dip.
  5. Arrange the cayenne-spiced wings on a platter and serve with the red "slime" dip.
