Graveyard Dirt Pudding with Spiced Chocolate Crumbs

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 20 chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos), crushed
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • Milano cookies (for "tombstones")
  • Black edible marker (to write on tombstones)
  • Gummy worms (for creepy crawly effect)
  •  Crushed chocolate cookies (for extra dirt)
  • Candy bones or skulls (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the cold milk, chocolate pudding mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Beat for about 2 minutes until the mixture thickens. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to set.
  2. In a resealable plastic bag, crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs. Add the cinnamon, cloves, and ginger, and mix well to create spiced "dirt."
  3.  In small individual cups or one large dish, layer the chocolate pudding. Top with a thick layer of the spiced chocolate crumbs to resemble dirt.
  4. Use a black edible marker to write spooky names or "RIP" on the Milano cookies to resemble tombstones. Insert the tombstones into the pudding. Add gummy worms crawling out of the dirt and scatter candy bones or skulls for a creepy touch.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve. This fun and spooky graveyard dessert is sure to be a hit!
