Lobster Rolls


  • 1 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped into bite-sized pieces 
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise 
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped 
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or green onions 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
  • 4 to 6 split-top hot dog buns 
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted 
  • Optional: lettuce leaves for serving 



  1. Prepare the Lobster Salad: In a large bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, chopped celery, lemon juice, chives or green onions, salt, and pepper. Gently toss until well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste. 
  2. Prepare the Buns: Brush the melted butter onto the insides of each split-top hot dog bun. 
  3. Toast the Buns: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the buns, buttered side down, onto the skillet. Toast until golden brown and crisp, about 2-3 minutes. 
  4. Assemble the Lobster Rolls: Place a lettuce leaf (if using) inside each toasted bun. Spoon the lobster salad into the buns, dividing it evenly among them. 
  5. Serve: Serve the lobster rolls immediately, with additional lemon wedges on the side if desired.
