Flatbread

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour 
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil 
  • 3/4 cup water 
  • 2 tablespoons za'atar spice blend 

 

INSTRUCTIONS: 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and za'atar spice blend. 
  2. Gradually add the olive oil and water to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. 
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. 
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball. 
  5. Roll out each dough ball into a thin circle or oval shape. 
  6. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. 
  7. Cook each flatbread for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until lightly browned and cooked through. 
  8. Repeat with the remaining dough. 
  9. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious homemade za'atar flatbread!
