Shrimp Tacos

Shrimp Tacos


  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined 
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced 
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder 
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
  • Juice of 1 lime 
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas 
  • Shredded lettuce or cabbage 
  • Diced tomatoes 
  • Sliced avocado 
  • Chopped cilantro 
  • Lime wedges 
  • Optional: salsa, sour cream, hot sauce 


  1. Prepare Shrimp: Marinate shrimp in olive oil, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and lime juice for 15-20 minutes. 
  2. Cook Shrimp: Cook marinated shrimp in a skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. 
  3. Warm Tortillas: Heat tortillas until warm and pliable. 
  4. Assemble Tacos: Fill tortillas with lettuce, cooked shrimp, tomatoes, avocado, and cilantro. Squeeze lime juice over tacos. 
  5. Serve: Serve with optional salsa, sour cream, and hot sauce on the side.
