Witches Hat Biscotti Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Dark chocolate for dipping
  • Orange and black sprinkles for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350’F (170’C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a log on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until firm to the touch.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the logs cool for a few minutes.
  8. Slice each log into biscotti-sized pieces and place them back on the baking sheet.
  9. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, turning the biscotti over halfway through to crisp both sides.
  10. Once the biscotti are cool, melt dark chocolate and dip the ends of each biscotti to create witch hat shapes.
  11. Decorate with orange and black sprinkles.
  12. Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
