- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Dark chocolate for dipping
- Orange and black sprinkles for decoration
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350’F (170’C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a log on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until firm to the touch.
- Remove from the oven and let the logs cool for a few minutes.
- Slice each log into biscotti-sized pieces and place them back on the baking sheet.
- Bake for an additional 10 minutes, turning the biscotti over halfway through to crisp both sides.
- Once the biscotti are cool, melt dark chocolate and dip the ends of each biscotti to create witch hat shapes.
- Decorate with orange and black sprinkles.
- Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
