Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and The Spice Way Black Pepper to taste
- Pinch of The Spice Way Red Pepper Flakes, optional
Preparation:
1. Pat the shrimp dry and season lightly with salt and black pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of the butter with the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook about 1 minute per side, just until starting to turn pink. Transfer to a plate.
2. Lower the heat to medium. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes if using and cook 30 seconds, just until fragrant. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice and simmer 2 minutes.
3. Return the shrimp to the skillet. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons butter, the parsley, and the lemon zest and toss just until the shrimp are opaque and the sauce turns glossy.
4. Serve immediately with crusty bread, rice, or pasta.
