Ingredients:
- 1 cup khoya (or milk powder)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cardamom
- 2 tbsp milk (as needed)
- Ghee or oil (for frying)
- 5 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cardamom
- A few saffron strands (optional)
Instructions:
- Mix khoya, flour, baking soda, and cardamom. Add milk little by little to make a soft dough.
- Form small, smooth balls.
- Deep fry in ghee/oil on low heat until golden brown.
- For syrup, boil sugar, water, and cardamom until slightly thickened.
- Soak fried jamuns in warm syrup for at least 1 hour.
