Ingredients:
- 12 slices of sandwich bread (white, whole wheat, or your preference)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup thinly sliced cucumber
- 1 cup thinly sliced smoked salmon or deli meat (such as turkey or ham)
- Fresh dill or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Lay out the slices of bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture onto half of the bread slices.
- Arrange the thinly sliced cucumber evenly over the cream cheese mixture on half of the bread slices.
- Place the smoked salmon or deli meat on top of the cucumber slices.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread.
- Using a sharp knife, carefully trim off the crusts from each sandwich.
- Cut each sandwich into smaller finger-sized pieces or triangles.
- Garnish with fresh dill or parsley, if desired.
- Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
