Fennel Seeds Biscotti


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons fennel seeds
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest Of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted


  1. Preheat the oven to 350'F (180'C); line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and fennel seeds in a bowl
  3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, vanilla extract, and orange zest.
  4. Add egg mixture to dry ingredients, then mix in melted butter until a dough forms.
  5. Divide the dough, shape into logs on the baking sheet,
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until firm and golden.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes, then slice diagonally. Arrange slices back on the sheet, bake for 10-15 minutes until crisp.
  8. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
