Ingredients:
For the kebabs:
- 500 grams ground meat (beef or lamb)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger grated
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon ancho chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
For the coating:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Bread crumbs (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green chilies, cumin powder, ancho chili powder, garam masala, chopped cilantro, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Shape the meat mixture into small cylindrical kebabs or any desired shape.
- Set up a breading station. Place the flour, beaten eggs, and bread crumbs (if using) in three separate shallow dishes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Dip each kebab first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally in the bread crumbs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Carefully place the coated kebabs in the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Once the kebabs are cooked, remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the kebab fry hot with your favorite dipping sauce or chutney.
