Berry Tea

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder (or fresh ginger slices)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon peel (use a vegetable peeler to remove strips of peel)
  • Honey or sweetener of your choice, to taste (optional)
  • Fresh lemon slices and mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, mixed berries, ginger powder, and lemon peel.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will allow the flavors to infuse and the berries to break down.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the tea cool slightly.
  5. Strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a heatproof pitcher or teapot, discarding the solids (berries, ginger, and lemon peel).
  6. Taste the tea and sweeten with honey or your preferred sweetener, if desired.
  7. Serve the berry tea hot in tea cups or mugs. Optionally, garnish each serving with a slice of fresh lemon and a few mint leaves for extra freshness and aroma.
  8. Enjoy your comforting and flavorful Berry Tea with ginger powder and lemon peel!
