I recently purchased this for the first time after buying Ceylon cinnamon from another Etsy seller for years as they had significantly increased their prices. I thought I had received a bad batch as this cinnamon smelled nothing like my other strong smelling cinnamon Ceylon. It smelled fruity. I was upset until I researched online that true Ceylon cinnamon is fruity or floral smelling. So it appears this is the real deal and either the other seller was selling fake Ceylon or getting it from a different region. I used this in my banana bread and my oatmeal and I just don’t like it in my baked or cooked items so I won’t be purchasing again but sharing this to educate other buyers. Even though Ceylon is better for you, this one is just too floral tasting for baking and will make your recipes not taste right.
