Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1/4 cup fine breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated onion, squeezed dry
- 1 tablespoon The Spice Way Kebab Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon The Spice Way Kebab Seasoning
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, grated onion, Kebab Seasoning, salt, and parsley. Shape into 16 small meatballs.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet and brown the meatballs lightly on all sides. Remove to a plate.
- In the same pan, heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Cook the chopped onion for 5 minutes, then add the garlic and Kebab Seasoning and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the tomatoes and salt. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Return the meatballs to the sauce and simmer gently for 12 to 15 minutes, until cooked through.
Plating Note
Serve over couscous or rice with parsley scattered on top.
