Classic Chicken Soup With Thyme

Serves: 4 to 6

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion, carrots, and celery and cook 5 minutes, until starting to soften.
  2. Stir in the granulated garlic, granulated onion, and thyme. Cook 30 seconds.
  3. Add the chicken broth, shredded chicken, and bay leaf if using. Bring to a simmer and cook 15 to 20 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Remove the bay leaf. Stir in cooked noodles or rice if using, season with salt and black pepper, and finish with parsley if desired.
