Beginner BBQ Chicken Sliders

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts 
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce, plus more for serving 
  • Salt and pepper, to taste 
  • 12 slider buns, toasted 
  • Coleslaw (store-bought or homemade) 
  • Pickles slices 

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Cook the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Remove from water, let cool, and then shred with two forks.
  2. Mix with BBQ Sauce: In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with 1 cup of BBQ sauce, adding more if needed to fully coat the chicken. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Spoon the BBQ chicken onto the bottom half of the toasted slider buns. Top with a spoonful of coleslaw and a couple of pickle slices. Cover with the top half of the bun.
  4. Serve: Arrange the sliders on a platter and serve immediately, with extra BBQ sauce on the side for those who want a bit more.
