Soy-Spiced Pickled Eggs

Makes: 1 quart jar

Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon The Spice Way Pickling Spice

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, soy sauce, and sugar. Bring just to a boil, then turn off heat and stir in pickling spice.
  2. Place peeled eggs in a clean 1-quart jar.
  3. Pour hot brine over eggs, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  4. Cover and refrigerate. Let cure at least 1 week; 10–14 days gives deeper color and flavor.

Note: Refrigerator-only pickle. This is a soy-forward variation.
