Ingredients
- 2 cups boiled chickpeas, or canned chickpeas drained and rinsed
- 2 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled, and diced
- 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
- 1 green chile, finely chopped (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/4 cup mint-coriander chutney
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (optional)
- 1 to 2 teaspoons The Spice Way Chaat Masala, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon The Spice Way Ground Cumin, toasted briefly if desired
- Pinch of The Spice Way Red Chili Powder or Kashmiri chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- Sev, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Preparation
- In a large bowl, combine chickpeas, potatoes, onion, tomato, green chile (if using), and cilantro.
- Season with chaat masala, cumin, chili powder, and salt. Toss gently to combine.
- Spoon into serving bowls or plates.
- Drizzle with tamarind chutney, mint-coriander chutney, and yogurt (if using).
- Top generously with sev and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
