Ingredients
- 6 to 8 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
- 1 tablespoon The Spice Way Pickling Spice
Preparation
- Place the peeled hard-boiled eggs into a clean quart-sized jar.
- In a saucepan, combine the white vinegar, water, kosher salt, sugar if using, and pickling spice. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring until the salt and sugar dissolve completely.
- Remove from the heat and let the brine cool slightly for a few minutes.
- Carefully pour the warm brine over the eggs, making sure they are fully submerged.
- Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 3 to 5 days before serving for best flavor.
Note: Refrigerator pickles only. Flavor deepens after about 1 week.
