Ingredients:
- 2 cups boiled chickpeas, or canned chickpeas drained and rinsed
- 2 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled, and diced
- 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
- 1 green chile, finely chopped (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/4 cup mint-coriander chutney
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt (optional)
- 1 to 2 teaspoons The Spice Way Chaat Masala, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon The Spice Way Ground Cumin
- Pinch of The Spice Way Red Chili Powder or Kashmiri Chili Powder
- Salt to taste
- Sev, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Preparation:
1. In a large bowl, combine the chickpeas, potatoes, onion, tomato, green chile if using, and cilantro.
2. Season with the chaat masala, ground cumin, chili powder, and salt. Toss gently until evenly coated.
3. Spoon into serving bowls or plates. Drizzle with tamarind chutney, mint-coriander chutney, and yogurt if using.
4. Top generously with sev and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
