Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lbs flank steak or sirloin steak
- 1 tablespoon The Spice Way Kebab Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 garlic clove, finely grated
For the Rice
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 3/4 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
For the Sauce
- 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
For the Salad
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1 tomato, diced
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- Pinch of salt
Preparation
- Toss the steak with the Kebab Seasoning, olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and garlic. Marinate 30 minutes to 4 hours.
- Cook the rice with the water and salt. Keep warm.
- Stir together the yogurt, tahini, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
- Toss the cucumber, tomato, parsley, and a pinch of salt together.
- Sear the steak in a very hot skillet or grill pan for 3 to 5 minutes per side, depending on thickness. Rest 10 minutes, then slice thinly.
- Build bowls with rice, sliced steak, salad, and sauce.
Plating Note
Fan the sliced steak over the rice instead of piling it in the center.
